<p><em>Rock the Casbah, by <a href="http://www.astronautdinosaur.com/">Scott Listfield</a></em><br />
Off topic here, but <a href="http://www.somervilleopenstudios.org/">Somerville Open Studios</a> is this weekend. As a resident of Somerville, the most densely populated and highest artist per resident ratio-ed city outside of New York in the USA, I suggest everyone go to open studios this year. Over 300 artists at over 100 locations means there&#8217;s some art for everyone. Two places of note are: </p>
<ul>
<li>the <a href="http://somervillemuseum.org/">Somerville Museum</a>, which has selections from many of the artists</li>
<li>My friend <a href="http://www.somervilleopenstudios.org/user/artist_profile.php?artistID=615">Scott Listfield&#8217;s</a> work (shown above). If you like your art with references to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_Hirst">Damien Hirst</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_of_the_Apes_%281968_film%29">Planet of the Apes</a>, <a href="http://www.starwars.com/">Star Wars</a>, and <a href="http://www.bustarhymes.com/">Busta Rhymes</a>, well, it would be hard to imagine you not liking Scott&#8217;s. Scott is showing with <a href="http://www.somervilleopenstudios.org/user/artist_profile.php?artistID=601">Jason Chase<br />
</a> forming an alliance known as Suburban Astronaut Studios. <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&#038;hl=en&#038;geocode=&#038;q=%2095r+Oxford+St+,+somerville+ma+">Map here</a>.
</li>
</ul>
<p>Somerville Open Studios &#8211; Saturday May 2, Sunday May 3 &#8211; Noon to 6pm.</p>
